Panevino No. 6 Sea Salt Grissini – A Perfect Pairing for Fine Wine Tastings

Posted by Karen Lantz on Jan 12th 2026

I recently had the pleasure of serving Panevino Sea Salt Grissini at a special Chevaliers du Tastevin tasting event held at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. The tasting was led by the impressive Mary Margaret McCamic, Master of Wine, whose expertise in Burgundy and beyond made the afternoon even more memorable. These handmade Italian-style breadsticks from Napa Valley's Panevino were an absolute standout accompaniment to the wines we explored. Their delicate crunch, subtle extra-virgin olive oil richness, and just-right sprinkle of sea salt provided the ideal neutral-yet-flavorful counterpoint—cutting through tannins, balancing acidity, and enhancing every sip without overpowering the nuances of the pours. What made them especially practical and enjoyable for a group tasting were the individualized packets. Each sealed pouch contained the perfect portion for one person—no messy sharing or crumbs everywhere, and everyone got exactly the right amount to nibble between glasses. The presentation felt elegant and hygienic, which suited the refined setting perfectly. The flavor profile is spot-on: light, artisanal, with that satisfying snap and a clean, salty finish that makes you reach for another (and another) sip. Our group unanimously loved them—several commented that they elevated the entire experience and are now their go-to for any serious wine tasting. If you're hosting or attending a fine wine event, Panevino Sea Salt Grissini are the understated hero you need. Highly recommended—5 stars for taste, texture, and thoughtful packaging!

Most Delicious Breadsticks I've Ever Had

Hill Family Estate served these along with their wines as a palate cleanser, and these are just as good sober as a snack by itself. Best breadsticks I've ever had.

Only the best winery’s serve these! They make wine taste even better! We hunted down the factory in St. Helena and the Owners we so kind and personal-just like the mom and pops in Italy. We watched their process and the time and effort into each stick is incredible. They don’t cut corners and the effort pays off. Thank you, Mimi and David and Nick, I’m a fan for life!
